PROMIS Kick-off meeting in Warsaw, Poland
On November 19-20, at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW), hosted the first transnational meeting of the Promoting social inclusion skills in a post-truth world: A gamified online platform and curriculum (PROMIS) project. The preparation was organized by the partners from the UKSW Institute of Psychology, Dr. Ewa Topolewska-Siedzik, and Dr. Dominika Karaś, hosting researchers from the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), the University of Bologna (Italy), the University of Bordeaux (France), the Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), the University of Utrecht (Netherlands) and the organization E-Learning Software (ELSO, Romania).
During the two days meeting the members of project discussed about the gamification strategy in the context of PROMIS; the 1st Intellectual Output: Curriculum “Building inclusive societies: Promoting social inclusion and reducing discrimination (BUILD)”; 2nd Intellectual Output: Methodological framework for the gamification of the contents of the BUILD curriculum; 3rd Intellectual Output: Development of gamified e-learning platform; 4th Intellectual Output: Development of online course in gamified platform: “Building inclusive societies: Promoting social inclusion and reducing discrimination (eBUILD)”; Intensive programme: Promoting Social Inclusion in a Complex World (PROS); project quality assurance and financial reporting; and project dissemination strategy.
As a reminder of the purpose of this project, after the two intense days of discussions and planning, all members departed home with a token, a handmade angel, each angel being made by a child from a disadvantaged context.
